Daniel,

I think that now would be an appropriate time to thank you for the Sundial
Mailing List, and for the wide-ranging resources page that you also keep online.

I don't know how long you have maintained the SML, but I know that I have been
a member of it since the 1990s, and it has been a valuable resource for me as I
have progressed with my dialing activities.

It used to be one of the only online resources, before the sundial societies
and others had really refined their web sites to the point where they are now.
It has been a reliable international meeting place for dialists for years and
years, despite the occasional dust-up (remember Prof Ruby?) and it has been a
common thread between many of the regional sundial societies. It is still a
great place to ask questions, the brainpower here is awesome.

I am amazed that something that has been on the internet for so long has been
able to weather so many changes and still work as well as it does. Thank you so
much for dealing with it for all these years!

⁣Best,

Jim Tallman
