I'm hoping someone here can send me photos or web links for a vertical dial with an undershot gnomon. I imagine they're rare beasts; certainly, I haven't found one in my own web searches. I can't even find a picture of a horizontal with an undershot gnomon
I want to see some (or at least one) because I want to know how the noon part of the hour scale was handled. I'm guessing some kind of noon equivalent of Tony Moss' midnight gap on his Longyearbyen horizontal, but I'd really like to view an actual example - and preferably on a vertical.
