Users will get logged out, but they will be able to log in very quiclly (5 seconds or so worst case) I've heard some talk about a desire to have a migratable session, where the user's session can be copied, not in real time, to another sunray server, so an administrator can take the machine down without any session loss (users would be disconnected for a few minutes however.)
