Hello list: It's stupid flashy demo time. We have some execs coming in expecting to be impressed, so I've caught the task of impressing them.
Here's what we'd like to do: I have a 170 and two 1G Sun Ray units.
The two 1G units are attached to 1024x768 LCD displays. I have set
up a multihead group as so:
1G | 170 | 1G
...the idea being that people will walk into our data center and see
this set up with three screens full of network monitoring going on --
sending the message that we know what's going on in our
network.
The multihead group was initiated from the 170, so it counts as the
controlling device. The active keyboard and mouse are attached to
the 170.
This all works, except that the desktops on the 1G units are 1280x1024,
so the result is that they pan-and-scan, which looks awful.
Does anyone know how I can force the resolution on the 1G units to
the display's native 1024x768? I'm willing to eat having the 170
stuck at the same display level if that's what it takes.
I have fiddled with utxconfig, but have been as yet unable to make
it change anything.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate them.
