Can home directories for SunRay users be mounted from an Active
Directory server? If so, where is the best information for setting this
up?
Background:
We have Macs, Dells and SunRay terminals that need to have one login and
home directory across all systems. It was decided by the higher ups
that the logins and home directories should be managed by Active Directory.
For the SunRay terminals we have a V440 running Solaris 10 and
SRSS3.1beta. We are currently trying Centrify to authenticate users.
I've looked into samba (appears to be no way to map with automount) and
sharity (doesn't support file locking which I think is used in the
SunRay environment). I've also checked out the Microsoft
help/documentation, docs.sun.com, and sun.com/bigadmin.
