Just get a SunRay for home, then. They go for ~$30 on eBay. I have
several at home, love 'em.
While I do have SunRays (both client and server) at home, and love them, I
would be quite interested in tinkering with remote SunRay units served
from a co-located server. Since I have never seen any actual "this is how
we do it" whitepapers on what I'll call WAN-Ray, I've got some
questions...
1) Do you run the SunRays straight off the internet (hopefully /w SSL) or
do you commonly use some sort of VPN-style link?
2) What do you use to "bootstrap" the SunRays (i.e. DHCP server /w
params)? Do you use something that might be more lightweight than the
SunRay itself, and not a full-blown computer (embedded or otherwise)
acting in the firewall/dhcp/etc. role?
