btw - has anyone run up the Sun Ray s/w on one of the new Ultra 20's. I'm looking to upgrade my Sun Ray server at home and my other half has just given me the ok to upgrade from a P3 700 !!
No but I run it from a W2100Z under VMWare Workstation. I can have multiple SRS's running from one box. Currently I run S10 w/ 3.1b, S9 w/ 3.0, and JDS2 w/ 3.1b. Oh yeah, I also have a W2K3 instance for MS apps via RDP.
This works out great for me, but in theory is not really scalable (in a user sense) unless you were to go with more CPU's and VMWare ESX.
Th U20 would be fine, just keep in mind that it is a 1 CPU box so if something is a runaway and pegs a CPU, you'll find yourself in a tight spot.
