I've searched through the archives and found little info on this topic.
As of the 3.1 for Linux release, will the server run with an x86_64 bit
kernel or is the i386 kernel the only option?
Our v20z has dual opterons and 12G of ram, so I would rather keep the
x86_64 kernel if at all possible. However, our install on RHEL 3u5 isn't
going so well.
The problematic messages (from /var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages):
Aug 31 23:10:47 laredo utdevadm: open_connection(): Could not bind to DS
server laredo - Can't contact LDAP server
and
Aug 31 23:20:07 laredo login: setup_pan(): connect_namedpipe
7309-04289383.in failed (File or directory does not exist)
Aug 31 23:20:31 laredo login: connect_namedpipe(): failed to open named
pipe /var/opt/SUNWut/tmp/pipes/7328-04289383.in (No such file or directory)
All sunray services seem to start (utsessiond, utdevmgrd, utparalleld,
utseriald, java auth.utauthd.utauthd, utdsd -p 7012, utdevadm)
Clients get 3 bars, and are resetting every 10 seconds or so with code
22D (cant connect to auth server)
Problem seems to me to be related to the ldap server (srds?). Could this
be related to the processor architectre?
This is after a fresh install on a private copper gig-e vlan.
Appreciate any pointers.
jeff
