Atkins" blog article, but am looking for a non-GNOME option)

I cope with a similar problem. I used to use KDE (version 1.0 and 1.5), but now, it is too greedy. I never got accustomed to CDE, so I had to use GNOME, but it is too big, too. Quite recently I discovered xfce and I am perfectly happy with it. It can be installed from a package from blastwave.org. It is quite spartan and it includes only few own applications but there is no problem to run any other X application.

Currently, our E250 serves 5 users, two of them use CDE, two use GNOME and one uses xfce. I also installed KDE, as we need its libraries for some application, but I don't recommend using it as a desktop. I tried to persuade my colleagues to change for xfce but I wasn't successful.
