Hi Haresh Most customers with Sun Rays who need to use scanners and send faxes as part of their work connect to networked scanners and fax software.
I know of people happily using scanners attached to their local Sun Rays, but you require open source components that are not supported by Sun. An official response to what's needed is pasted below.
