I didn't say that, and I don't believe that's how it works. Without it the Sun Ray 2 performs worse than the 1g. The fix is also present in the -02 version of the 3.1 patch but since that escaped by accident I wouldn't recommend installing it unless you need it to support the Sun Ray RDP client or unless you're desperate to get this libutmedia fix.
