No, we're switching to the SUN RDP Connector because it has the
ability to pass the smart card information through to the terminal
server. So anytime an application thinks it needs information from the
Smart Card, it'll slow everything else down in the session?
Yes, because Sun Ray firmware gives higher priority to the smartcard
transactions.
This is just my understanding and some one can correct it if I am wrong.

I would think that I would have to wait for the read from the smart
card if I was interacting with it, but if I'm just moving the mouse
around click on the start menu, I wouldn't think that it would need to
access the smart card/slow down that part of my session.
Thanks

We're using Trusted Solaris 8, SRSS 3.1, and the Sun RDP connector
released in mid May with the ActiveCard Gold 3.0 FP2 middleware on
the Windows 2003 terminal servers. When using rdesktop the
performance is normal, but when using the Sun RDP connector, during
normal use of the system, it appears to be accessing the smart card
quite often.
I think it's because ActiveCard Gold application is trying to access
the SmartCard quite often. Can you read/write to Smart Card using the
copy of rdesktop that you have?

The green light flashes above the smart card on the SunRay.
Thanks.

information from the smart card quite a bit.
Has anybody else seen this or know what might be causing this?
