Hello sunray-users,

I am new to administration of Sunrays, I have googled the web
and the list archive but did not find an answer to my following
question. If the matter has been discussed already, some short
pointers, hints or links to HOWTOs are as welcome as good long
answers. Thank you in advance! :)

Our users can use the SunRay DTUs and server to transparently
log in to different Solaris (xdmcp?) servers which have their
dtlogin copies running in its subnet or by hostname. This is
available from dtlogin box as Options/Remote login menu.

This "relay" seems to use less resources on the sunray server than
maintaining a full-blown session which renders X applications
from remote servers with an overhead of windows manager, multiple
desktops, etc. It even binds a remote-server session view to a
smartcard if one is used, and can move along with smartcard
  between the DTUs :)

Our problem at hand:

Is there any cool solution which would in a similar manner
discover and connect other servers like MS-RDP or VNC - in
the SunRay server's subnet or completely remote - without
requiring a login session on our SunRay serer with just an
rdesktop or vncviewer application running inside along with
a fullscale CDE or Gnome overhead?

I guess a minimal window manager with a fullscreen client is
an ok solution, but is there any existing script for alternate
sessions like these tobe bound to dtlogin? And can we find
and select an RDP/VNC server from a menu, if the solution
  exists? :)
