Subject: [SunRay-Users] DVD Reader/Burner and General USB Peripheral
Support?
Date: Thu, 20 Jul 2006 17:42:20 -0500
I was trying to find USB support info for the Sun Ray 2 USB ports. I came
across a list of USB Mass Storage devices support by SRSS 3.1 for SPARC
(http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/sunray.html).
I don't see any support for USB DVD Readers/Writers. Are these supported
or is there a known model that works that someone has tested?
CD & DVD drives get mounted read-only. You cannot burn CDs or DVDs on a Sun
Ray.
I've used a DVD drive by Ikebana, in addition to Iomega & Sony CD drives.
I remember someone claiming that Addonics pocket DVD/CDRW worked for them.
What about a USB bar code scanner?
I've seen them work. Cannot recall models though.
