Thanks to all the respondents on this subject. After researching the responses and trying to make it work the way I wanted to, I discovered that all I needed to do to accomplish what I wanted was to drag the top folder of the directory structure I created with all the .desktop files in it to the panel and a drawer was magically created to do what I want. This obviously didn't create it in the Launch menu, but creating a .directory file in the top level with the company logo as the folder icon now puts the company logo on the panel bar with the localized application/menu tree.
Now if I could figure out how to make that happen via a script, I'd be all set. I'll go ask on the Gnome Open Solaris list now that I know it exists. _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
