All of the preconfigured 1280x1024 modes put the monitor to into unknown
frequency mode. What does work, is just using defaults, but then it
Only comes up as 1024x768, and since it's an LCD, and that it's non-native
Resolution, it's not very crisp.

How can I determine what the utresdef settings would be for the 1024x768
resolution that does work? I wonder if I just plugged in 1280x1024 with the

Horiz and vert that I have, would it work?

So it does :), thanks for pointing that out. I would probably log a bug
against the command itself as well, so that the in-command help shows
<token|default> instead of just <token>.
