How about Linux where .dtprofile file doesn't exist in the user's HOME directory,
though Linux (3.1.1) utxlock man page refers to the .dtprofile?

Thanks

Take a look at the manual page for utxlock. Basically setting

SUN_SUNRAY_UTXLOCK_PREF=""
export SUN_SUNRAY_UTXLOCK_PREF

in your $HOME/.dtprofile will achieve what you want.

Note: This won't stop the screen saver kicking in and locking the screen as normal, but will stop the disconnect event locking the screen.

    We have both users with Smartcards (for hot-desking) and those without
    smartcards. How would I set the utpolicy or utxlock to not ask a
    password for users already logged in with a smartcard. For example I
    insert my smartcard, log-in with user and password, and then pull the
    card to switch sunrays - when I insert the card at another sunray I do
    NOT want to be promted for my password. Can I do this?

    Thanks,
