One thing I should mention is that you can actually get cards with any combination of the "big 3 card technologies". (smartcard, magstripe, proximity) So, even if your access solution uses proximity or magstripe cards, you could get such cards that also have a smartcard chip in them.
Exactly what do I have to look for (specification) when I purchase these cards not from Sun but want them to work with Sun Rays?
