Troubleshoting 101 -- if root can access or run something that other
users cannot then it is almost always a permissions issue. Is the plugin
group and other readable? Are there any other Firefox related files or
directories that are not group and other readable? That's where you
should be looking.

Why do you think Firefox is (or should be) Sun Ray aware? I cannot think
of any reason unless you are doing some of that kiosk mode/chroot stuff.
