I'm so frustrated. I've been trying to get SRSS 3.1.1 installed on
Ubuntu Edgy (6.10) for about 3 days. (just my latest attempt)
Thank you for your updates. My main problem is that every webpage or
resource does things differently and when I try to pull together a
couple Ubuntu pages and a couple Debian pages, I have problems sorting
it all out.
Everyone seems to give UbuntuOnSunRay much credit, but it seems like
things have changed since Ubuntu 5.10. Thanks for your work... I'll
keep trying, and I'll try your stuff too. I see you followed the GDM
instructions at steinbachs. I'll give all that a shot.
One big question... Are you using the stock Draper gdm*.deb? I've gone
back and forth on wondering if I have to have the Sun hacked gdm.

with minor modifications, and decided to update that guide with a note
with these changes. Hopefully someone will find this note useful. I've
also uploaded a modifed patch for dapper and gdm-custom.conf.
My installation is still fresh and I may still find some bugs or
something, but right now, as far as I can tell everything is working
fine.
Big thanks to this list and specially Naaman Campbell for this great
guide.
