Hi,
I just wanted to share my experience with rhel5.
I tried the client and server versions both with the same result, the
installation breaks at the GDM, if i select N at the removal question the
installation stops
Remove gdm-2.16.0-30.el5? ([Y]/N): N
utinstall: fatal, error in the module M08GDM (event Init).
If i select Y the installation continues but i get this error
gdm-2.4.4.7.2-10.i386.rpm
file /usr/share/xsessions/gnome.desktop from install of
gdm-2.4.4.7.2-10 conflicts with file from package gnome-session-2.16.0-6.el5
GDM: error, GDM not successfully installed
utinstall: fatal, error in the module M08GDM (event Install).
I think this is the same error that some guys were getting with FC6
Btw, i had to uninstall ksh-93 and install pdksh from a RHEL4 package.
