I need to set up a Sun Ray proof of concept that includes some users
connecting to a Citrix server. As I see it, I have 3 choices:

1. Run SRS on Solaris SPARC and install the Citrix client for that platform.
It is two revisions behind Windows and Linux, but I assume that is not a big
deal.

2. Run SRS on Linux and use the Citrix client for Linux. I¹m a lot more
comfortable with Solaris, but this could be done.

3. There is a Citrix Java client. It cannot be installed on the SRS, it has
to be loaded dynamically from a web server, presumably one running on the
Citrix server. It would probably put high resource demands on the SRS and
may be a bit complicated to set up, but it is an option.

Option 1 is a problem with proof of concept because the whole thing is
running in VMs on an x86 box (SF X4600). In production we could go with
T1000 or T2000 Sun Ray servers.

Does anyone have any experience with option 3, the Java client? I don¹t know
much about Citrix administration, so I¹m not sure exactly how this would
work. As I mentioned, I¹m also worried about starting up a Java VM for each
Sun Ray session.

Thank you for any suggestions.
