Does anyone know of a way to prevent the second usb
device link from being created in
/tmp/SUNWut/mnt/$USER ?? We are testing some Sunrays
to VMWare Windows XP instances and so far everything
is working beautifully. We have setup a custom script
to do some nice things and are really impressed with
the versatility of it all.

However, we are trying to enable users to be able to
use their flash drives like they would now. I have
seen some of the usb scripts here, but it seems most
all of those require the disk to be attached before
the session is started. We would like to be able to
allow the user to insert and remove the drive as they
work in Windows and still be able to access it.

One way we sort of worked this, was to just mount the
/tmp/SUNWut/mnt/${USER} directory via uttsc (-r
disk:usb=/tmp/SUNWut/mnt/${USER}). It works great,
and you can connect and disconnect to your hearts
content and you can see the drive coming and going.
However, you always get two directories. The volume
name directory and it's counterpart linked name
(disk1, 2, etc). I can see this as being confusing to
any customers.

So anyone know a way to get rid of this secondary
link? Or perhaps some other workaround. Maybe a way
to specify a different directory to create the link
in, that way allowing us to mount that directory via
uttsc and the user can see only one directory coming
and going. BTW, using SRSS 3.1_32, uttsc version
1.1_15, and a SunRay 2 for the DTU.

Thanks for any help on this. I am new to list but so
far have been able to gleam mucho informationo from
the list.

Daniel
