Yep, authentication is performed via passwd.

Can you point me to a website that shows how to set up what you
suggested?

Thanks

 Subject: Re: [SunRay-Users] User Accounts

If the users are authenticating from each Sun Ray servers passwd
file, you would have to set up both servers to authenticate via
NIS/NIS+/LDAP. Not as hard as it sounds. For just 2 servers, setting
one up as a NIS master, and one as a slave. It would be an easy thing
to do.

I may be over looking something simple, but if I have two Sun Ray servers for load balancing, how do the Solaris user accounts say in
sync? I've set user's passwords to expire after 180 days on each.
So that means they'll have to reset their passwords twice, thereby temporarily having multiple passwords to remember (not a good thing
for our users)

Can someone explain this to me? Am I missing something?

Thanks
