We normally mount /tmp with the nosuid option as a security precaution;
this prevents the Sun Ray audio devices from working.
You could deal with that by taking into account that the
SRSS-created /tmp/SUNWut is owned by root. I think the
only not-a-device things below /tmp/SUNWut that aren't
owned by root are the mount directories for mass storage
devices, and any files that are on mounted mass storage
devices.
For Sun Ray support of Solaris Trusted Extensions, we mount USB
mass storage devices on /rmmount
I am sure Mike Bender really mean /rmdisk but not /rmmount.
Thanks

Note:These are my personal opinions, nothing to do with my employer
rather than in /tmp/SUNWut, and
we create the audio devices in /dev/SUNWut/utaudio. Non-TX systems
still have the mount points and devices in the usual places under
/tmp/SUNWut.
It's on my list of things to do to look at making the mount points
and devices on a no-TX system live outside of /tmp/SUNWut, especially
if we can get good integration with the desktop volume manager
apps and technologies such as HAL.
