.1 A script is called in /usr/dt/config.d/Xsession.d/ to create
folders and give permissions to them. (using the mass storage
workaround method)
.2 2 scenarios attempted and observed:
.1 If uttsc "-r disk:usb=/tmp/SUNWut/mnt/$USER" is called in
addition to the other uttsc parameters, I am able to see the USB
redirection in Windows XP SP2 with 2 folders in there e.g. 'disk 1'
and 'unnamed' (some usb flashdrive showed 'noname').
.1 Able to create files/folders (with spaces, more than
8chars in name length) in either 'disk1' / 'unnamed' and the contents
are 'sane' meaning seen also in the other folder (and confirmed
written to the USB device).
.2 If uttsc "-r disk:usb=/tmp.../$USER/unnamed" is used (for
poc/debugging sake), I am able to also see the USB redirection in
Windows XP SP2 with the flash disk's contents only, all fine. (Note:
actual cam script will use USBDISK=`/opt/SUNWut/bin/utdiskadm -l |
tail -1 | awk '{print $3}'` and "/opt/.../uttsc -r disk:usb=$USBDISK
....")
.1 But unable to create new/save files with names >8chars.
(how can I overcome this issue? tried on 2 different models of
flashdisks which are FAT and contained files >8chars in name length)
.3 Tried pt.2 with rdesktop (downloaded) with similar -r option,
also unable to create any files/folder >8chars in name length.
