Would it be silly to just have a script that walks through /tmp/SUNWut/mnt/* looking for writeable directories and does a chmod a-w on them, then sleeps 60 seconds and does it again?

Users should be able to copy information off of CD-ROMs attached to their Sun Rays, but if they attach a CD-RW or flash drive, we do not want them to be able to write files. If this can be scripted to decide whether to mount r/o or r/w based on DTU, so much the better. Perhaps just a utaction that changes the permissions on /tmp/SUNWut/mnt/$USER/* ? Has anyone tried something like this? -Tom Stanley _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
