If you don't mind an unsupported solution, and you don't mind hacking
some software, you could easily
- write a wrapper for utswitch that chooses a server based on the token
type, and
- instrument /usr/dt/config/Xsetup to run it
(this is similar to how the auth.props selectAtLogin feature launches
utselect).
Utselect/utswitch works only inside a fog. Or I am wrong ?
This is incorrect. Assuming of course that your Sun Rays servers are
reachable by your Sun Rays, you can utswitch between them whether or not
they are part of the same FOG.
FOG membership really only controls load balancing and automatic session
location (and data replication).
utselect, by default, only displays the hosts in the local FOG in the
chooser. However, with the "-R" option, you get a text box into which
you can type the name of any server you wish to be redirected to.
Is it possible to
build a FOG with such different servers ?
I'm not sure what you mean by this question. My suggestion above was
assuming that you had a FoG and wanted to somehow control placement
within it - probably a bad idea anyway as I mentioned later. That
appears to have been an incorrect assumption on my part.
But you need to think hard about how failover is supposed to work in
this scenario. If you really want card users one place and non-card
users another, then failover isn't really an option without at least
four servers (two in each FOG).
My aim is not failover but to be able to choose my server (Sparc/Solaris or
X86/CentOS).
This should certainly work, if your servers are not part of the same
FOG. Can you do a "grep AMGH_SUMMARY /var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages", and
send the output? That should give an indication of what is going wrong.
Also, you said:
I try AMGH with provided shell script.
Do you mean you're trying to use either utamghref_script or
utamghref_allkeys_script supplied with SRSS, without modification?
What does your back_end_db file look like?
