I put in place an environment with 3 x SunFire T2000, UltraSPARC-T1 w/1.4 GHz
+ 8 cores and 16gb of RAM. This is not the fastest machine to run a JDS
desktop on, but it runs. The big advantage we saw with T2000 machines is that
from 1 to 200 users logged in, using Firefox + StarOffice, you hardly see any
difference.

So, it's not the fastest, but it runs equal, with or without many users on,
and this is good from my point of view, since users don't complaint about slow
down periods. Users get used to a relative constant slow speed. What they
don't like, it's when it's fast, and suddenly it goes slow: it's then you
start to get calls! ;-)

Was it for using as a JDS desktop, or for a uttsc-broker machine?
