Dear Sun Ray Gurus,
I am writing to inquire about connecting SunRay Thin Clients to
10/100/1000 switches. Does anyone have this similar set up? Are there
any known issues with this? I currently have Sun Ray 170 Thin Clients
connected to a 10/100/1000 POE blade Cisco Catalyst 4507. Both the
switch and the client report a 100Mbps/Full connection, however we are
seeing errors (CRC, runts) on the link and the link flaps (goes down/up)
periodically. The switch is set to auto-negotiate. We don't see a
problem with the Sun Ray 150 or the Sun Ray 1G when connecting to this
switch, only the Sun Ray 170 is affected. It seems like a negotiation
issue as the link is not staying up. To keep the link up, the switch
must be hardcoded to 10/half.
Basically wondering if anyone has tested or run the SR170 on a
10/100/1000 switch.
The System Environment:
1) 2x SFV240
2) Mixture of SR1g, SR150 and SR170 clients.
3) Cisco Cat4507.
4) Solaris 9 OS.
5) SRSS 3.1_120879-05_2006.10.17.17.08
6) Citrix 8.12
Any feedback is appreciated.
