Yes, I've used my 170 on several different 10/100/1000 switches with no
issues whatsoever. However, none of them are Cisco.
I remember that awhile back when I setup a 1000 link between a Cisco
switch and some other vendor's switch, that I had to modify the Cisco
config to make the Cisco adhere to the standard (instead of trying to do
some weird proprietary thing that prevented the link from coming up).
