I believe that it is not so important. Without this option
gdm starts the X servers with the "-nolisten tcp" option.
Since /usr/bin/Xnewt accepts this "-nolisten tcp" option,
SRSS also runs without that gdm option.

But it allows users  of  a sunray session to start X applications
from another server if the DISPLAY environment variable
on this server points to their sunray session.
