There's no intention of dropping the VGA capability.  We've
had a couple of reports of this blurred VGA behaviour, and
the investigation so far seems to be pointing to some
incorrect components being used to build a batch of Sun
Ray 2 motherboards.  That is, it's not a design flaw in the -10
revision, it's a manufacturing error that affects some -10 units.

My personal, very very unofficial guess is that any affected
units that have been delivered to customers will be eligible for
replacement under warranty.  You should talk to your Sun
Support contacts about that.  Don't be surprised if their initial
reaction is "huh?" because AFAIK the investigation is still
ongoing and no internal support bulletin documenting the issue
or its resolution has been circulated yet.
