I'd second this, it really would be worth doing.
I'd like to see the following setup storable on the SIM card:

Monitor Resolution and timings.
Keyboard and Mouse setup.
Screen Blanker config. (Time to blank / Blanker Disabled)
Audio Volume defaults (Muted / Off / Medium / Full)

I'm sure others will want to add more to the list......
