Thanks,

It's not just an idea.
My companies (raywyse.nl and Siceroo) offer a Sun ray based service
already. The simlock feature would enhance my product-marketing
combinations for us.
Indeed the Sun Ray is in my opinion the ultimate Saas device which should
drive the 4th Saas wave, called the Saas infrastructure wave.
I think Sun should tune the Sun Ray product for this kind of use.
Meaning:
- Very stable and durable systems but at competitive price levels.
(Sun is doing a good job in education at this moment with their matching
grand offers)
- Make business models possible which others can not deliver in the
desktop market. Like the sim lock and better central managment and
configuration features.
- Do something with the environmental benefits. The Sun Ray uses 4 watt's.
But the powersupply uses 6 Watts at 230 Volts. Power over ethernet would
be better for SR2. However I like the fact that SR2 (FS) and SR 270 all
work on 12 Volt. This gives us the option to build offices with a special
more efficient 12 Volt power infrastructure based on Solar energy.

So keep up the good work! I would not be suprised if 80% of the desktops
at work and at home would be running Sun Rays within the next 10 years.
