Hi All, First time caller here, recent convert and tinkerer with Sun Ray stuff.
I have an eval system I have set up in my office here with a Sun Ray 170, talking to SRSS v.4 on Solaris 10 x86. I've registered the DTU and have a nice Firefox session running in Kiosk mode on my DTU. Impressively easy to configure and setup. I have a couple of n00b questions though: 1) I'm not a fan of the default JDS theme (blueprint) - I've installed and customised a nice theme made up of downloaded bits and pieces from Art.Gnome.org. How do I pipe this to the Kiosk session? eg. at the moment logged on locally to the server hosting SRSS, theme is fine, but on my DTU running the kiosk session, I still get the old purple JDS blueprint theme. 2) Similarly, in Firefox I have enabled a kiosk plugin following most of the steps at http://blogs.sun.com/ThinkThin/entry/kiosk_mode_browser (very useful blog!) I want to be able to install some Firefox themes which alter the look and feel of the navigation buttons etc, how do I apply this to the kiosk browser session? Eg. I have installed Firefox 2 at /opt/firefox and want to make this a completely separate instance to the existing Firefox install I run locally on the machine. I thought I could launch /opt/firefox/firefox logged on locally on the server, install the themes and what-not and hey presto, but these don't show up in the kiosk session. I figured running SRSS in a zone would be a easy solution, until I found out this was not supported :( Any tips/advice/pointers would be much appreciated! :) Cheers Dave _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
