FYI, I just put my experience with the new SRSS beta release and Debian into the wiki <http://wiki.sun-rays.org/index.php/SRSS_4.1_Beta_on_Debian/unstable>
Fortunately, the Sun developers did not only improve the multimedia experience for MS Windows users. On the linux side, I noticed at least: - 3 new X server extensions (according to xdpyinfo): RANDR, XAccessControlExtension, XVideo-Encoded (but the LBX extension has gone(?)) - The kernel modules for USB and audio support are updated and work now much smoother with newer Linux kernels - 64bit PAM modules are included, so it should run on Linux systems with mostly 64 bit userspace (I didn't test it) Up to now, everything seems to work fine. -- Meik Hellmund Mathematisches Institut, Uni Leipzig e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.uni-leipzig.de/~hellmund _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
