Dear All, I have come across a problem with the Sun Thin Client (Model: Sun Ray 2 Virtual Display Client) and request assistance from you urgently.
The installation at the site is as follows: The Operating System Solaris 10 11/06 x86 runs on an HP Desktop (Intel processor) which also runs the Sun Ray3.1 application. I had recently changed the IP address (connected to a new vlan) of the Server that runs the Sun Ray application. After I tried to update the files and then reboot the Server, I noticed that it still held the old IP address. I then wrote a simple script and updated the /etc/rc3.d directory and the IP address was updated permanently. After checking the status on the Sun Ray Thin Client by connecting the Sun Ray Thin Client to the Server (running the Thin Client application), I noticed that it receives theIP address but fails to show the graphical interface and instead displayed the message 2D and 22D on the right hand lower side of the display on the Thin Client. On the Server running the Sun Ray application, i got the following message log: Couldn't bind to DS server Couldn't Connect to Ldap server . utjadmin.so or configuration error in /etc/opt/SUNWut/utadmin.conf ---- After receiving the above error, I replaced the Sun Ray 3.1 with the latest 4.0 version and after testing with the Sun Ray Thin Client, I received the same message but with additional information: During the the installation of Sun Ray 4.0, I received the following error : ---- Adding user admin ... Failed to add user(s) to the list ERROR: Could not retrieve policy. --- on the message log I received the same message --- Couldn't bind to DS server ID [70291] Couldn't Connect to Ldap server . utjadmin.so or configuration error in /etc/opt/SUNWut/utadmin.conf Under the circumstances, I request you to assist me, so that I am able to get the Graphic Interface on the Sun Ray Thin Client.
