Is that for both horizontal and vertical?

Thanks,
William

Hi William,

The answer to your question is +- 80 degrees.

We will work to get the pages on sun.com updated with this information if it's not already there.

While we're talking about this monitor...would anyone happen to know what the viewing angles are? Sun's specs pages just say "TBD".

Can someone report any impressions from running a SUN RAY 2 with this new Screen ?

Here's what one of our firmware engineers has to say about basic functionality with this monitor (note that this conflicts with the specs on http://www.sun.com/sunray/sunray2/specs.xml, we're working on fixing that):

The basic "2" will support (max size) both
- 1600x1200 standard-screen, AND
- 1680x1050 wide-screen**.
** As long as you are using DTU firmware that isn't older than May 2007.

(before May 2007, the "2" firmware had a sanity check that rejected anything wider than 1600, because at the time the next size up was 1920w, which the "2" hardware definitely can NOT support. When 1680w displays became generally available, we were able to go back and change the framebuffer width limit a tiny bit so as not to exclude them).

Last time I tested with a pre-production version of the Sun 22" display, it worked.
