Hi All,
Forgive the Newb here, I've just completed the installation of SRSS 4.0
on a Soalris 10 05/08 release system and the same was installed by a
colleague on a Linux system. I've never worked with SRSS till this
week. The two servers were running Solaris 9 and an older RedHat, with
SRSS 2.0 installed. The original setup was used for a classroom of 30
SunRay 1's (which we are still using) to allow students to pick the OS
they need for the class they are taking. The concept used to work in
that the Server Selection provided a list of both servers for them to
pick from. That is not the case with the new installation as the only
server that is showing up is the Solaris Server, yet if we enter the
Linux servers name in the selection box we can get to it. Further, at
one point during this installation, the Web GUI Sun Ray Administrator
did show both server. It no longer does that. Is SRSS able to do what
I'm attempting to do (seems that is should be), adn can I get the Web
Admin to see and work with both servers? Appreciate any help that you
folks can muster.
As far as how we are configured goes, both servers were config'd using
"utadm -A ###.###.###.0" and only the Solaris version is doing DHCP.
The Solaris server has two NICs, one 100mb and one Fiber. The Linux
only has GigE Copper. Both were configured to Broadcast.
Solaris Server:
==========
[server1/opt/SUNWut/sbin] utadm -l

NewTver= 4.0_48_2007.08.01.15.48

remoteSelect=true
Thanks in advance!!
