We serve about 60 SunRays for our students connected to a dedicated
server for education topics. On this machine we uses the kiosk mode for
cardless SunRay sessions. Using a wrapper script, we provide a selection
box. The students may choose between Windows (via rdp), Solaris (Xnest)
or (limited) web access.

See http://blogs.sun.com/ThinkThin/entry/cam_chooser_application

Using Xnest Jörg is right. No Sound and no access to usb sticks.
But it is perfect for our computer rooms!

It took me some time to bring this to our new SRSS 4.1 installation.
It seems to work now. But we are still testing.

The benefit are well accepted computer room for our students and a
minimum of maintenance for me.

Best regards

Rainer
