We are using this dhcp server for all our servers/devices, there is only one
Route between Sunray and DHCP.

No not really,

I guess you need to do a tcp trace ussing snoop ( in solaris ) or 
Etherreal/wireshark or something
and verify that DHCP request, DHCP offers and DCHP accept messages flow 
in the network
between the Sun Ray and the Router

DHCP requests are Broadcasts messages. they wont reach your router if 
there is another router inbetween.
