Bleagh. Xorg (all versions) can run fine without /etc/X11/xorg.conf,
and recent versions don't keep the default font path in there, only
customizations, so any solution based on parsing the config file will
have issues. Unfortunately, I don't have a better suggestion as
querying a running server for it's font path requires xauth/xhost
access. (Xorg did add -showDefaultModulePath & -showDefaultLibPath
options to help driver installers, I suppose we could add a
-showDefaultFontPath in Xorg 1.7, but that would only help once all
the distros upgraded.)
