Hi,

I have a setup using the free NX server from NoMachines. I had big
problems when the Linux box was running GNOME, the keyboard mapping was
entirely off. Switched to KDE and things are mostly fine, some artifacts
in drawing/redrawing, but worth it considering the speed compared to vnc.

This might be your problem too, even if you're using the freenx server.

HTH,
Øystein
