Yes. I am using port B. The printer did not respond at all when
connected to port A. In this case, do you reckon this is a software
issue or a hardware?

The serial setting is the default 9600/8/N/1. I have tested on Sun
Ray 170
- UTTSC 2.0_23 (with patch 127556-03 installed), firmware
4.0_127553-05_2008.11.21, SRSS 4.0 with latest patches
- UTTSC 2.1_25 and firmware 4.1_139548-01_2008.12.08, SRSS 4.1 with
latest patches
Both version exhibited similar results with the former showing better
result.
