Hello all,

I'm experiencing an error which I cannot understand, but am able to resolve,
but I'd like to understand why it's happening so I can stop it.

I'm running Solaris 10 Trusted Extensions and Sun Ray Server 4.1.

Periodically random users will be unable to logon to either JDS or CDE, they
are able to enter their username, go to a Password prompt, enter their
password, then are immediately bumped back to the username screen, no Failed
logon error or anything.

I have multiple servers in the FOG, and they have all experienced it several
times.

The only entry I can find in the logs is /var/opt/SUNWut/messages:

Sept 29 07:31:32 (HOSTNAME) dtlogin[3399]: [ID 118685 user.info]
pam_sunray_amgh::[DPY=40] AMGH_SUMMARY: token=pseduo.(MACADDR),
username=(realusername), AMGH_DONE=NO(Local Session), Details=AMGH is not
configured, AMGH_Target=*NONE*
Sept 29 07:31:41 (HOSTNAME) dtlogin[3399]: [ID 118685 user.info]
pam_sunray_amgh::[DPY=40] AMGH_SUMMARY: token=pseduo.(MACADDR),
username=*NONE*, AMGH_DONE=NO(Local Session), Details=AMGH is not configured,
AMGH_Target=*NONE*

The only thing I see change between a functioning user and a non-functioning
user is the second line, which sets the username=*NONE*

The only way I have found to fix it is to set their password to change upon
their next logon, they change their password, and it works again.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Patrick
