Do you get any interesting error messages in any of the
/var/opt/SUNWut/log files or /var/adm/messages?
Yes... Something like that:
Nov 2 17:13:03 <host> utprop[3095]: [ID 702911 user.info]
open_connection(): Could not bind to DS server <host> - Can't connect to
the LDAP server
Where <host> is name of my SRSS server. This name is correctly resolved
to server's ip...
That means the SRDS daemon (utds) is not running.
Did you reboot after running utinstall as instructed?
Yes, it was my fault. Before I replied to you I made some experiments
and must have killed utds.
Now I rebooted and have another error:
# /opt/SUNWut/lib/utprop -a -f AdminUsers admin
utprop: Internal system error
There is the following line in messages:
Nov 2 18:04:06 <host> utprop[1355]: [ID 702911 user.info]
open_connection(): Could not bind to DS server <host> - Out of memory
# top |grep Mem
Memory: 16G phys mem, 15G free mem, 8191M total swap, 8191M free swap
However, utprop without parameters works:
# /opt/SUNWut/lib/utprop
utprop: No properties found
Very strange. Sorry, no clue. Your "experiments" might have disturbed
the installation somehow. You might try uninstalling/reinstalling.
Maybe first try utconfig -u; utconfig; utrestart -c
