When you boot up, what OSD icon numbers do you see (lower right corner
of the icons)? Is your system TFTP service configured?
Did you ever run "utadm -A" or "utadm -a"? If not, did you run utfwadm
explicitly to configure firmware downloads?
If all else fails, when the DTU is connected (assuming you ran utfwadm
either directly or indirectly via utadm) you can simply run:
/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utfwload -la
That should upgrade all DTUs connected to your system (if they're not
already at the correct version).

http://wikis.sun.com/display/SRSS4dot2/Managing+the+Sun+Ray+DTU+Firmware+%28All+Topics%29but
I cannot seem to get it to update, I am running the sun ray server on
Red Hat atm since Solaris cause me problems and I wanted to try it on a
supported distro. I am not running DHCP on the SunRay server because my
router takes care of that however I have passed dhcp-option 49 in my
dnsmasq.conf file I have also tried with option 66 which I understand is the
firmware server. Im not sure where to go from here

How do I check the firmware, and how would I change it? I have use the
update firmware command on the server in the course of applying patches to
the sunray server. Also where do I get SRS 5?

Hi I recently installed SRSS 4.1 onto a Ubuntu 9.04 server. I'm trying
to
get my SunRay 1Gs to use a couple cordless Logitech mice I have. I run
into
the issue that moving the mouse sideways causes it to go up and down, up
and
down have no effect, and the zoom control, + or -, causes it to go
right.
Also I have a Razr Diamondback that doesnt work on it at all. Is there
some
kind of configuration issue to get these Logitech Mice to work? Also
seems
to do the same thing to a different degree just with new HP USB mice
It would also be interesting to know what firmware the Sun Rays are
running now. If they're not already running 4.1 firmware then that
would be the first thing to fix.
If 4.1 firmware does not resolve the problem then it would be
interesting to know whether these mice behave correctly when the Sun
Ray is running 4.2 firmware. The 4.2 firmware contains at least one
mouse-handling fix. The particular mouse that exposed that bug wasn't
a Logitech, but it's possible that some Logitech mice could also trip
over the same bug. If you want to try this then you could extract 4.2
firmware from the SRS5 EA2 download and publish that to your Sun Ray
units.
