Subject: Olivetti Printer via serial Cable

Hi Guyz,
I need your help in finding a solution for serial printer, on sunray.
I am currently working on a project for a bank with 400 Seats using Sunray
software 4.1 and Vmware, the customer has an Olivetti serial printer and I am
trying to redirect it to the windows.
I cannot use the printer redirection, since they have the core banking
application that uses a serial port printer, it's a preconfigured.

So instead of using the printer redirection I used Comport redirection using -r
comport:com3=$UTDEVROOT /dev/term/a

I configured the printer on windows it's an IBM Proprinter Xl emulation and
connect it to COM3 on windows, I can print now but the problem is when I do
print the uttsc command hangs and I can't do anything on the sunray ( Mouse,
Keyboard input ..) until the print JOB is done, once the printing finish it
backs to normal state and I can use again the windows session.

I was able to do some tests, it appears that when using the windows printer
spooler I get the problem, but when using for example DOS or windows CMD
printing I don't have any problem and the Sunray works fine.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards
