Thanks a lot for putting an up-to-date how-to together. FYI: The color mask issue in KDE 4.3 has been solved in the latest Debian testing repo. Gwenview and Konqueror now render the colors just as they should be, and KDE4 on a Sun Ray DTU really is a pleasure to work with (needs Xrender=on in SRSS), for those who like KDE at least...
As an aside: Does a recent kernel work with the patches? I seem to remember that my setup of this October still needed patches to get SRSS working with a kernel above 2.6.28, but this was with the EA2 version of SRSS4.2, perhaps the final version has already integrated the changes.
